A Seder Experience
Join us in experiencing the sights, sounds, smells, textures, tastes, and meaning of a traditional Seder meal. The Seder is a Jewish feast that commemorates the leaving of Egypt through symbolic foods and words designed to connect the entire person—body, mind, and spirit—to the experience of God's liberation.
We will combine traditional Seder foods and rituals with scripture passages as we wonder together how God is calling us each to leave our own narrow places.
This special event will give you a small taste of a Seder, as well as a scripture circle and a book for you to explore how you can facilitate your own Seder. It is not meant to be a meal or a three-hour study. It is a way to experience God's faithfulness as we are reminded who we were before we got lost—and as we’re invited to find our way back.
Something to wonder about before you come:
The Hebrew word “seder” means “order”. What might that tell us about the Seder meal? What might that have meant to the Jewish people? What might it mean for us today?
Tickets are $45 and must be purchased by Sunday March 31st. Includes the food and drink for the Seder and a booklet for you to take home.
